In March of 2020 in the very beginning of the scary uncertain times of COVID-19, local REALTOR ®
took a big chance, borrowing a bunch of money when he wasn't sure what was going to happen with real estate (and even if he would have any income that year) he jumped into buying 32 acres of land just north of Edgewater in the Spur Valley area, and forming a new company Luxor-Spur Developments Ltd.
Although there were a few sleepless nights over the risk and uncertainty, Gerry was driven by the belief in the area and in the intrinsic value of land. The land had previously had development started in the late 1970's or early 1980's, with evidence of old infrastructure and the rough layout of roads in place. As a child Gerry remember driving by the old wood sign that said "Luxor Heights" and the small paved turn off section from the highway with a road that appeared to lead nowhere.
As a REALTOR ® Gerry knew there were a lot of small building lots with strict developer building restrictions.
The redefined "Luxor Heights" is offering something not available else where in the Columbia Valley and building on the older style of land, larger treed lots with individual wells, overhead power, gravel road, and no building scheme or building time commitment- whether it is parking a RV, building a cabin, or building a custom home with a shop and having a home based business- the choices are up to the land owner! Build what you want, when you want!
